Realizing the significance of education, governments at all situations have launched one or further programs to address the high degree of ignorance, overdependence, and other issues hurting the nation’s concinnity, knowledge, and development. Salman, Olawoye, and Yahaya,( 2011). The Universal Basic Education Scheme( UBE), Education for All( EFA), and the Millennium Development Goals( MDGs) are exemplifications of educational programs created or inked by the Nigerian government in the twentieth century( Lawal, 2007). This intended to place the country positively among the world’s 20th largest husbandry by 2020, consolidate its leadership liabilities in Africa, and enroll the country as a prominent player in the global profitable and political arena.( Obong 2006).
Hence, the conditions and difficulties of any society are stylish met through education, whose machine room is the preceptors. According to Delvin,M., Kift,S. & Nelson,K.( 2012), no educational system can outperform the quality of its preceptors.

No surprise, Hammond( 2000) believes that countries interested in enhancing scholars’ academic performance should look at the medication and qualifications of the preceptors they hire and retain.
Worryingly, it has lately made public pronouncements on educational norms. Following the poor academic performance of pupils seeking admission to secondary seminaries, the disgruntlement becomes decreasingly visible. The point that’s constantly raised is whether or not preceptors in these public seminaries, who are the most pivotal factor in the efficacity of seminaries and the quality of a child’s education, are competent to educate effectively. One important source of concern regarding preceptors’ qualifications has been the fairly high proportion of preceptors tutoring subjects outside of their fields of subject matter training and instrument.

On the negative, before a person can effectively educate in any class, he or she must be educated in the trades or lores of academy tutoring. As a result, some argue that employing a suitable number of preceptors, rather than having a well- good tackle, can not break educational challenges. To be a trained and competent schoolteacher, one must have entered professional schoolteacher training.

Statement Of The Problem

It’s one thing to be professionally trained in a particular discipline, similar as social studies. It’s another thing entirely for one to be suitable to work in that area or in any other field( Fernandez.( 2014). Experience still has shown that good preceptors are more at tutoring subjects at all situations of education.
The failure of schoolteacher training sodalities to produce good labor force has been conceded. In recent times, training have been carried out in a rushed programme, performing in the bare awarding of instruments rather than the full accession of knowledge by the donors. Adeniyi( 2011) agreed, censuring the education sector for the poor quality of its products due to the high position of honour and respect accorded to paper instruments. This specific has caused labour employers to lose faith in paper instruments and, as a result, to organize retraining programmes for those who secure movables in their seminaries. The results to the forenamed issues will really contribute significantly to pupils’ advanced academic performance in social education. Keeping in mind that the success of any subject is dependent on the quality of preceptors and the effective use of educational accoutrements .
Objects Of The Study
This study was carried out specifically to achieve the following objects
1. Ascertain the relationship between pupils’ performance and preceptors’ qualifications.
2. Ascertain the impact of preceptors ’ qualifications on pupils’ performance in primary seminaries.
3. probe the vacuity of good preceptors in public primary seminaries.
Exploration Hypotheses

H03 There’s no vacuity of good preceptors in public primary seminaries.
Significance Of The Study
The end of the study is to determine the impact of preceptors’ qualifications on pupils’ academic performance. The study will also be significant to stakeholders i.e. preceptors, learners, government, academy policymakers, and class itineraries.
First, the exploration will help to ameliorate education norms not only in primary academy, but at all situations of the educational system. This is because the study honored the schoolteacher’s significance and qualifications. As a result, the applicable authorities will need to handle force with care, put it to good use, and insure its timely and regulated force to seminaries.
This study will also grease collaboration between policymakers and government prosecution on policy expression and policy relating to the backing, provision, control, and operation of educational coffers. preceptors and educational accoutrements are exemplifications of this. Eventually, it’s important to note that the findings of this study will contribute to the strengthening of the schoolteacher education process not only by awarding instruments to prospective pupil preceptors, but also by furnishing them with knowledge and chops necessary for a good living.

This exploration work will be limited to examining the relationship between pupils’ performance and preceptors’ qualifications, the impact of preceptors ’ qualifications on pupils’ performance in primary seminaries, and the vacuity of good preceptors in public primary seminaries. Hence, the study will be limited to named primary seminaries in Aba Abia State.
