Background Of Study
Traffic laws and regulations in Nigeria were inherited from social administration. In a largely populated country similar as Nigeria, where a number of auto possessors increases yearly, and the enrollment of motor vehicle is a slow process and occasionally in the sense of it a delicate task. This is true in the sense that motor vehicle licensing authority/ system attend to thousands of buses per time; thereby keeping records of license and their enrollments manually was a tedious work. It redounded in lines containing records of operation being lost, damaged or misfiled due to the way the homemade system of writing these records. Also writing records of aspirants in books affected the span of the record accoutrements , and since the continue use and play of these pamphlets everyday might lead to wear and tear which ultimately led to loss of important information.
Statement Of Problem
The introductory problems facing motor vehicle licensing are lack of proper security in the system that creates avenue for fraud and manipulation of stored data in the system, lack of proper, accurate and terse information about the vehicle proprietor, poor performance of the system during information reclamation due to hamstrung storehouse of data, lack of proper and accurate record keeping of stored information and eventually lack of review process this is a situation where there’s no avenue created for review. This hinders acceptable conservation of the system.
Objects Of The Study
The points of this study are
i To develop software that will link by robotization all the procedures of motor vehicle licensing system in motor license authority( that is, to have a centralized system).
ii To ameliorate the system performance and effectiveness.
iii To enhance the database for proper information and record keeping.
iv To give a dependable security access in order to avoid tempering with stored data.
v To give a means of availability in case of accident and exigency.
vi To enhance speedy recovery of stolen vehicles
Significance Of The Study
The significance of this study is to serve better than the being system, enhance database and ameliorate effectiveness, effectiveness and security of the system. Also to give applicable attention and quick access to prospective operation. It’s also intended that the study will help in the development of a new and hopefully better computer backed system.
Compass Of The Study
The exploration work is confined to motor vehicle licensing procedure that can take place in the motor licensing office. This procedure involves an individual registering to gain vehicle license if the customer meets up with the procedure.
Design Report Association
This exploration work has five distinct chapters. Chapter one contains preface, background of the study, statement of problem, objects of the study, significance of the study and the compass of the study. Chapter two is the review of affiliated literature, while chapter three is the system analysis and design.
