This design is basically designed for BRITISH AIR LINE. It was in Europe that the aeroplane was first put into regular carriage of passenger in 1916, England, an airline company known as aircraft transport and trip was formed for schedule passenger, freight and correspondence service as soon as the war was over on August 23, 1919. it was transnational air service operation between London and Paris By 1926 a well- knit European network of air service had been established and the airline operated by British, France and Germany, Italy and Netherlands were playing 9 million long hauls and carrying 100,000 passengers annually.

Statement Of The Problem

The design developed a motorized system for keeping records and effective Airline Reservation System enterprises with particular reference to British Airline.

Purpose Of The Design

The main purpose of this design is to develop an effective and dependable Airline ticket reservation system for the operation of British Airways Organization. It’s carried out to achieve the following

* Provision of service for the client

* Reduction of workload on ticket reservation clerks.

* Provision of information that’s briskly, more accurate and detailed to the guests.

* Provision of a compact and intertwined introductory records of airline ticket reservation for the guests.

Compass Of The Study

This design covered areas similar as flight schedules, flight routines, flying time & also seat reservation. This design has considerably covered how breakouts are going to be listed for intended trippers , so as to meet up with their flight schedules. And also covered the route and areas the flight is going to travel through. Also this design bandy the flight time for all traveling passengers, the time of their departure and the time they will be embarking from the flight. It talks about how seat reservation are going to be made for trippers how to know their seat number.

Significance Of The Design

In order to enhance effective and effective ticket reservation system, the significance of this design work can’t be under estimated. This design would enable ticket reservation agents to formulate and apply practicable policy. It would also help ticket reservation agents to have unknown patronage and brings about enhancement as well as provision of effective air transport services.

Limitation Of The Design

There are some limitation that are endured in the study. But the topmost has to do with client services. The work of a reservation staff can noway be fully replaced by computer since it involves dealing with the guests. Passenger are frequently faced with the problem of clarifying some issue enquires, regarded their reservation conditioning in is only mortal being rather than electronic machine that can adequately answer all guests question and enquires.

Description Of Term

There are different terms used in this design the terms are common to all airline or airways similar terms are as follows

* Guests: This is the person that intends to travel with the airline at a particular point in time.

* Reservation Staff: This is the person that closes the booking and also takes the data of the guests and offers them the ticket of which they will board the aeroplane with.

* Airline: It means of transport through the air. It’s the fastest means of transportation in the world.

* Flight: This is the process at which the airline takes off from one place to another minding the passenger or client.

* Ticket Reservation: It’s a process of taking booking for intending passenger who wishes to travel in an aircraft from one place to another.
