Sexual assault takes numerous forms including attacks similar as rape or tried rape, as well as any unwanted sexual contact or pitfalls. generally a sexual assault occurs when someone touches any part of another person’s body in a sexual way, indeed through clothes, without that person’s concurrence. It’s a form of sexual violence, which includes child sexual abuse, feeling, rape( forced vaginal, anal, or oral penetration or a medicine eased sexual assault), or the torture of the person in a sexual manner( CLEENF. 2005).

In recent times the issue of force as form of sexul botheration have been more pronounced in Nigeria. force is the act of strongly having coitus with someone against their will. Others have defined rape as a sexual penetration by one person against

another person without the concurrence of the victim( wikipedia). still victims of rape have no age limit as babies, and the aged are vulnerable to this imminence. Interestingly 90 of victims of rape are womanish.

Indeed the law enforcement officers that are meant to cover these victims also assault them in different ways, indeed sexually( Kawu 2013).

Anytime the issue of rape is mentioned, people tend to give it an emotional response as the victim might need a close shoulder to calculate on to relieve them of the trauma, that’s relatively accessible but that isn’t enough. Statement Of The Problem

force continues to be a significant crime problem in Nigeria. The Bureau of Justice Statistics( BJS) reported 130,260 rapes in2014 and 173,310 rapes in 2019. The National Women’s Study estimated that 683,000 rapes passed in 2018 and that 13 percent of all women and girls have been ravished during their continuances( Udewkwe 2013). sorely, the prevalence of all types of rape is loftiest among youthful people. Amnesty transnational gave a horrible picture of the rape scourge in Nigeria when in one of its publications, a many times ago painted the picture of how hopeless the Nigerian case is, quoting a victim of rape “ There were three men, I’ve pains indeed moment, they used my son too, she’s 12 times old. In Nigeria, it isn’t uncommon for rape to go unreported. Some victims and their families, stewing stigmatization, police highway robbery and a lack of trust in the judicial process, choose not to report cases to the authorities. From the statements above, it’s crystal clear clear that the rape scourge is on the increase each across the world. force isn’t a pleasurable sight to behold. It’s so ruinous for the victims, indeed when the attacker are bedeviled in rare cases. There’s thus an critical need for this imminence to be regulated and this can be achieved when especially in Nigeria where the scourge is assuming an intimidatingproportion.Therefore it’s against this background that this study is set to examine Criminalizing force The Way Forward To End Sexual Molestation.
