DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A CASE FILLING SYSTEM FOR A DRUG MONITORING AGENCY

ABSTRACT

The National Drug Investigations’ manual way to regulating the inquiry it is conducting is quite cunning and garish. In order to create and execute a computerized system to manage the work with less difficulty for an effective decision-making, this research study looked into the issues caused by the debilitation of hard digs accepted into the nation as well as in society.

An existing system was presented during the study, and its shortcomings were gradually revealed. Following this, answers to the designed issue were put forth in the new designed computerized system, which is more interactive and radiate. All of the issues with the old system are laminated in the new one. National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA Enugu is the subject of the case study.

CHAPITER 1

INTRODUCTION

1.1 CONTEXTE:

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency was established in 1984, under the presidency of Buhari, who was serving as acting president at the time. It has been discovered that Bartholomew Bologna, Laval Ojulope, and Benard Obenegbe were executed by the previous administration’s Buhari after being caught dealing cocaine. It was created in order to address the issue that Nigeria was having at the time, which was the issue of hard drugs.

In the NDLEA act N30 laws of the federation from 2004, it is said that airport commissioners started acting practically in the year 1990 when they observed certain groups of boys bringing narcotics and wanted to stop them.

The initial chairman of the NDLEA was Fedelis Ojakilome, who later passed the reins to Kwajafa, an assistant inspector general of police (AIG), and then to Papa Jamare, who held the position for just two months before being succeeded by Bamaji in 1994 and serving for five years. He was replaced by Onovo 1.0 from Enugu in 1994, a police officer who served until 2000 and was turned over to Lockdam as AIG. Lafia gim, an SSS chief before he arrived at Drug Ground in October, then took command.

In 2006, a retrained police officer named Ahmadu Ginelde is currently the established boss in the NDLEA firm.

1.2 PURPOSE/GOAL

This company was founded to depict illegal cultivation production as a mainefactive of illegal hard-drug trafficking that starts to occur in Nigeria with the aim of ensuring that Nigerians adopt the practice of combating drug abuse like other nations.

1.2.1 STATEMENT OF THE STUDY’S OBJECTIVE

The study’s conclusion and some of the issues the company has are related to the fact that the public is not aware of their members’ involvement in brandy operations. As a result, they object to searches made at international airports and seaports, which demonstrates a lack of knowledge of their members’ privacy and the authority granted to NSLEA. Additionally, they are uncooperative with the general public, who lacks volatile information on drug offenders in the area as a result of Libras’ stuckness.

They run into some unjustified interference with their inquiry by seducing members of the community. Because their employees are underpaid, they struggle to attract new employees, which has led to some of them ceasing to actively seek employment. Additionally, they run into some logical issues, such as vehicles that cannot withstand the pressure of daily operations. The public must have a hostile attitude toward law enforcement Agents are absent.

JUSTIFICATION FOR THE STUDY, 1.3

When conducting an investigation, there are many issues they run into that ultimately work in their favor. For instance, when they don’t inform the public that they intend to arrive and arrest anyone or a group of people, it is assumed that the public won’t remain silent and permit their arrival, so their lack of knowledge of the public is very helpful.

Again, nobody is aware of the existence of Drug Agents or the officers’ newly acquired authority, which encourages them to arrest anyone who disobeys their laws. As long as they are informed that certain drug addicts are camped inside, they have the authority to enter any location, even if it is done under duress.

1.4 THE STUDY’S PERSPECTIVE

This is done to combat the abuse and trafficking of illegal substances, which are pervasive throughout Nigeria. Nigeria is home to many NDLEA individuals, which complicates the work of human traffickers. Due to the fact that these organizations have branches in every major city on earth, they are able to gather information about any drug user and proceed with their arrest. This helps to reduce the high rate of drug abusers in international airports, land borders, and other locations.
