Abstract

This study was carried out to prize essential canvases from cashew shell and its kernel and to characterize the canvases ; with the view to ascertain their felicity for consumption and other uses. Soxhlet outfit was used for the birth using hexane as detergent. The physical and chemical parcels of the uprooted oil painting were anatomized. The chance oil painting uprooted from the shell of the cashew was set up to be25.5 while that uprooted from the kernel was11.8 oil painting. The results of the physical analysis showed that the cashew kernel oil painting( CKO) is light unheroic while the Cashew Nut Shell Liquid( CNSL) is dark brown.
