ABSTRACT

The concept of a person held by a group of people is essential in understanding not only how a person within such a framework of thought views himself, but also how other matters such as the idea of being, morality, knowledge, and truth are viewed, all of which are necessary for the order of society. This is underlined by the fact that such a concept embodies the role that society wants the individual to play in achieving an orderly society, making it necessary for African Scholars to write about the concept of a person from an African perspective.
