Abstract

 

The study examined relative study of guidance and comforting services effect on secondary academy scholars ’ academic performance in ikenne original government area, using Ikenne Community Secondary academy and Isanbi Comprehensive High School, Mainflower Secondary academy, Ilishan High School, Ilishan Remo as th study. More specifically, the study examined the impact of guidance and comforting on scholars ’ academic performance.

 

The study espoused the check exploration design and the intentional slice fashion to elect( 4) named public secondary academy within the two named communities( Ikenne and Ilishan) in Ikenne Local Government of Ogun State to give a sample size of 120 scholars. It can also be refers to a child’s success and performance in academy and can be measured by grade point pars, as a cluster of achievement tests or, using specific tests for reading or computation chops, similar as reading speed, ignorance and appreciation, and the capability to break logical/ computation problems( Joseph, Karol, Peter and Marek, 2016).

Academic performance of public secondary academy is declining overtime, especially in our contemporary where it seems as if that the government don’t watch about the performance of the scholars in public secondary seminaries. still, utmost of time professional counselor tends not to be made available in public secondary academy, in order to promote the academic performance of the scholars. This situation frequently has a negative reflection on scholars; character, social particular and moral values in public secondary academy. Grounded on the nature of guidance and comforting services, it’s visible that academic performance which of great important to public development could be greatly enhance; hence this study is out.
