ABSTRACT

The major goal of this research is to look at how claims settlement affects the profitability of the Nigerian insurance market. The study uses historical and time series data in a descriptive and analytical manner. The research covered the years 1986 through 2011. (twenty-five years). The study’s secondary data came from the 2014 Statistical Bulletin of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The secondary data was presented in tables, and the connection between the variables was assessed using the multiple regression method. To test the hypotheses proposed in the study, T-statistics and F-statistics were used. According to the findings of the study, there is a strong link between claims settlement and the profitability of the Nigerian insurance market. Nigeria.
