Crime Control Information Flow In A Restructured Nigeria National Identification System: Election And Census Fraud Solution

Abstract

An effective public identification system is a necessity in any public government for the proper perpetration and prosecution of its governmental programs and duties. This thesis aims at restructuring Nigeria public identification system so as to make it effective in addressing its political and civil problems, which ranges from manipulated tale count numbers and electoral fraud to profitable fraud and civil problems. These problems are arguably due to Nigeria’s ineffective public identification system.

We proposed in this thesis, a restructured Nigeria public identification system to help address these political and civil problems. The proposed identification system is designed similar that it’ll help to address identification problems in general, reduce choices and tale count fraud to a minimum and be useful for the prosecution of programs in sectors of the frugality.

Background Of The Study

The conception of identification has always been a part of humanity. vindicating the identity of a person, a body or an association has come so important in moment’s world that its absence would only mean a world in chaos. Our world moment is a technology and business driven world that can only continue to remain the way it’s or get better if identification is given its due place. Identification has come so vast that it embraces every aspect of our lives, be it social or technological. While several nations are considering perfecting their National identification system by integrating recent identification technology into it, others that don’t have a National identification system in place are mooting on having one or not.

National identification system has come the subject of public debate. To grease colorful conditioning of any public government, all citizens and associations should be uniquely linked. Any governmental conditioning similar as social security services, public administration, Medicare services, duty collection, fair public choices, transparent public tale count and much further can not be effectively eased in the absence of a good National identification system.

A successful National identification scheme is greatly dependent on public trust and should be precisely and sensitively enforced with respect to the social and technological maturity of the nation in question.

Technology has come more pervasive and affordable currently that utmost identification system is technology grounded. There are a lot of ongoing exploration and design that are geared towards particular identification. All these are apparently to make identification more effective and secure.

There’s no similar thing as a completely secure National identification system, nor can there be a system that’s fully vulnerable to the threat of taking in multiple or false individualities. It’s known that biometrics can be caricatured and enrollment data falsely represented. There can be problems at both mortal and technological position.

In this thesis, we propose a new National identification structure for Nigeria to help address its identification problems in general, reduce choices and tale count fraud to a minimum and be useful for the prosecution of programs in sectors of the frugality.

Objects

Having a National identification system in place in any public government is one thing, but having an effective and roughly secure National identification system is another. This thesis work substantially aims at restructuring Nigeria’s National identification system and proposing a data inflow pattern in the restructured system to help attack the problems of electoral fraud and manipulated tale count numbers.

provocation

I was deeply motivated into restructuring Nigeria’s National Identification system after looking into the National identification system of several advanced nations. During the first many months of my studies in Sweden, I came decreasingly apprehensive of how effective its National identification system was. This led to my looking into the public identification systems of other countries with a good public identification system. These public identification systems can fluently regard for the roughly correct number of citizens and legal emigrants in the countries in question, and the identification of any person was accessible and easy. therefore it passed to me that if such a good identification system is put in place in Nigeria, it can help break her political problems of electoral fraud and manipulated tale count numbers, and as well as address her civil problems.

Nigeria being a country that has over 250 ethnical groups with varying languages and customs is also home to a variety of persuasions( 1). This diversity tends to be a disadvantage when it comes to issues like fair choices and transparent public tale count. The diversity has also led to a habitual problem of ethnical politics which has in turn given birth to bellicosity. All these being the result of some ethnical or religious groups trying to be the dominant group in terms of figures and political victors. These problems have in numerous cases redounded in the loss of lives and parcels.

A good identification system that can fluently regard for the total number of Nigerians at home and its legal emigrants will go a long way in addressing these political problems which has come the source of utmost of the civil problems in the country. This is because an effective National identification register can fluently be used for check and balance whenever it’s demanded for a fair election, transparent tale count and governmental administrations.

Statement Of The Problem

The political and civil situations bandied in antedating sections led to the following exploration question

How should Nigeria National identification system be designed to help fight her recreating problems of electoral fraud, manipulated tale count numbers, and the lot of her civil problems?

Particular Opinion

Although my administrators may have gone through this thesis, they may differ with some generalities in it. This thesis is thus my own particular generalizations and opinion on how to attack the political and civil problems that troubles my country.

My generalizations and opinion were really told by my gests home and abroad and as similar may differ from the way similar kind of problems are approached in other geographical locales.
