1.1 Background of the Study

One of important assumptions in decision making process and improvement economy is existence of quality information. Financial statements should realistically and objectively represent the real business situation of a particular company. This means that final exams are traceable and accurate. In the context of viewing financial statements as decision-making functions, it is important to emphasize that different users need to know how to “read” these financial statements. “Reading” the content of financial statements provides a variety of tools and analytical techniques for understanding your business.

An established management process based on annual closing and financial information is one of the most important prerequisites for a quality company. Decision-making processes require both financial and non-financial information. Finance provides the most important financial information needed in the business decision-making process.

Therefore, it can be said that finance is a service function for management. Essentially, it processes or collects “raw data”, examines it, and transforms it into relevant information in the decision-making process. The basic characteristics of finance are:

1. Collection, processing and presentation of financial (financial) information

2. Company business information

3. Targeting a variety of interested users

A significant amount of this information comes from financial information systems and financial statements. Financial statements should realistically and objectively represent the realistic operating conditions of a particular company. Financial statements need to be analyzed to improve the use of financial information in the decision-making process. in this context.

Therefore, knowing the current quality level of the company is of great importance in the framework of future corporate management, trying to guarantee the development and presence of the company in the market. Balance sheet analysis is done before the management process, i.e. before the planning process which is part of the management process. Planning is very important for good management. A good financial plan should take into account all the company’s strengths and weaknesses.

The task of financial statement analysis is to identify the company’s strengths so that these advantages can be maximized, but it is also to identify the company’s weaknesses in order to take corrective action. For this reason, company management is arguably the most important user of financial statement analysis.
