IMPACT OF PENSION AND GRATUITY ON THE LIFE OF RETIREES

ABSTRACT

“The general purpose of this research work is the impact of pensions and bonuses on the lives of retirees, with particular reference to the Enugu State Pension Board. To investigate the reasons for not paying.To determine the impact on retirees of not implementing subsidies.To examine the causes of poor pension benefits and their economic impact on the Nigerian economy.The scope of this research paper is to: Enugu Pension Board. The data sources for this work are primary and secondary data with a sample size of 80. The population for this survey is from the Enugu State Pension Board. The vehicle used for this research work is a questionnaire containing problem formulation and research hypotheses, and the data presentation method for this work is analyzed using example tables, pie charts and percentages. Test analysis is used in this project work. The conclusion of this study is that the fringe benefits (ie retirement benefits) that retirees receive are small compared to the obligations they owe. The recommendation for this work is that the employees of the pension department, who deal with the calculation and payment of pensions, understand the reasons for the payment of pensions and bonuses in the state.
