It coetaneous transmission of audio and visual signal enable it to ply enormous influence on the society there by making it more compelling and enable it to command great respect and attention than the other media.

It significance is that it has come a whim-whams linking the society and its conditioning together. This explain the reason why government of developing countries, especially Nigeria are enchanted by the power of TV, thereby using it to publicize utmost of their programmes to promote concinnity and artistic upliftement of the people

TV creates mindfulness of different life style in a society. In doing this emphasis are placed on parallels in life style and this is salutary to developing nations like Nigeria where “ commitment infrequently extend beyond the vill, lineage or religion ” and where integration is generally seen as an identification with the larger total that’s the state.

thus, TV as a tool for public integration plays the part of creating sense of identification through the propagation of common artistic values and symbol, by giving interpretations to events that will prop and promote concinnity of the nation. still the TV medium should desists from interpreting events in such a way that it may give rise to souring, inflame tempers and course schism among the people with different artistic morals, belief and values.

It can thus be held that TV, due to the part it plays in limiting people with different culture, religion, lineage and indeed race reflects the value pattern of the society because it determines where and when information flows.

TV broadcasting has since 1954 grown by hops and bound through out the confederation. slightly a time after the establishment of Western Nigeria Television( WNTV). Eastern Nigeria TV( ENTV) now NTA Enugu, was established by the also governor of former Eastern region in 1962 the Northern indigenous government joined inter – alia in the conformation of the radio Kaduna TV( RKTV) from which theF.R.C.N andN.T.A Kaduna evolved from.

Nigeria TV Authority( NTA) Kaduna was gutted from the former broadcasting pot of northern Nigeria( BCNN) which was established by decree No 21 of 31st March 1962, the decree took effect from April 1st 1976.

The station has 10 kilometer each cover to down south of Kaduna, Malumfashi in Katsina state and part of Kano State.

The transmitter operates on 4 bands 1 VHF, transmitter which is positioned at No 99, Isah Kaita Road Kaduna, and was commission in 1993 and covers up to Kafanchan, Saminaka and Birnin Gwari. The transmitter could be said to cover three quarter of the land area of Kaduna.

. Statement Of General Problem

One of the challenges faced in this term paper is the problem of effective information dispersion to those to be integrated.

Another problems is that Nigeria has so numerous ethnical diversities. therefore, there’s this problem of relating with all this diversities which has in the once led to lack of religious and artistic forbearance among the people thus breeding violence of all feathers.

Also one of the problems faced in this term paper is that the Nigeria societies isn’t well saved due to contact with foreign culture thus the issue of transmitting our artistic heritage effective disguise a veritably great problem.

likewise, people of Nigerian do n’t really appreciate each other culture due to the high position of ignorance dominant in the country and also people are ignorant of other people culture and see them as barbaric. ”

thus the media, particularly TV must be used to enlighten people through their programmes that reflect artistic values of people cutting across the state.

The study is aimed at looking into the colorful places of TV as an effective tool for public integration this study is also geared toward chancing out the goods of TV programmes on individualities with different culture, beliefs, religion, moralsetc. living in a particular nation.

likewise, this study is carried out to know the impact of TV communication on it followership in relation to other media of mass communication. This study is also carried out to make people see the significance of TV in public integration.

It’s also designed to see how NTA Kaduna uses it programmes to insure concinnity in diversity and on the larger total integration of people of Nigeria with different culture and beliefs.

Eventually, another problems faced in the compendium of this term paper are the problem of getting the applicable accoutrements for the term paper.
