Abstract

Presently in moment’s institution, there’s a geometric rise in the number of scholars admitted with a portion in the number for each department and position of study This variation in the number of scholars has posed a problem in allocating halls into consideration for pupil Grounded on this, there’s a so important need for a system that would palliate similar problem.

The design work “ Design and perpetration of a web grounded hall allocation system for examination ” tends to allocate halls for examination by taking into consideration the vacuity of space to match the number of scholars in each department for each position. Structured System Analysis and Design Methodology( SSADM) were espoused in the analysis. A web grounded hall allocation system for examination was developed usingPHP.MySQL, HTML and MySQL for the database. Design and perpetration of a web grounded hall allocation system for examination provides a more suitable and proper allocation of halls for examination.

This present period has been nominated to be an information age. An age where the demand for information dramatically increased. The computer has been the most useful thing for getting or penetrating information currently.

This preface( the use of computers) has fleetly affected all areas of life ranging from homes, diligence and of course the educational system.

This goes a long way to point out that without acceptable information on any subject matter, it would be delicate to handle. The computer isn’t just used for getting or penetrating information but also for allocating and arranging ideas and information. This has led to the development of several software and operations.

still, with the profitable development and advancement in wisdom and technology, adding to the rapid-fire increase in the population of the country( Nigeria), education becomes the dream of every parent for her child, leaving behind the original gospel against education. This lead to massive increase of scholars in seminaries and there have been a silent cry for an effective system that will manage scholars and department multitudinous lines in different universities.

Presently in the university, due to the adding number of scholars, hall allocation for both speaker and examination has come a bone in the neck in the university

still, this created a lot of problems associated with hall allocation and there are no rigid guidelines as to which system should be used. This exploration work “ design and perpetration of examination hall allocation system ” will consider the allocation of halls only for examination. An effective application of hall allocation for examination requires the combination of timing and capacity of the halls.

Statement of the Problem

To furnishing a fast and effective system of managing halls for examination thereby reducing time destruction, strain and high labour input.

Design and develop a central database system that would serve as hall database which will contain information on all available halls in the institution.

Significance of study.

This exploration work will help in diving this problem experience by the academy in furnishing an effective means of managing hall allocation for examination in our academy.

The use of the software in operation is applicable in the following ways

It’ll give an avenue of allocating a hall to the right number of pupil.

Enable the operation to plan on perfecting in time frame on examination schedule.

The designed computer driven hall allocation will help to grease timely allocation of hall to scholars and also have first hand information on the statistics of scholars to be allocated in a hall.
