Abstract

Library is a fast growing organism. The ancient styles of maintaining it are no longer dynamic and effective. For ready reclamation and dispersion of information and better service for the clientele, operation of ultramodern ways has come absolutely necessary. A duly motorized library will help its druggies with quick and prompt services.

Library robotization refers to robotization of library housekeeping operations generally by robotization. Library operation information system is a typical operation system( MIS), its Development include the establishment and conservation of back- end database and front- end operation development aspects. For the former bear the establishment of data thickness and integrity of the strong data security and good libraries. As for the ultimate requires the operation completely functional, easy to use, and rich customer interface. The Library System is also created to insure that the library particulars store duly in other to maintain their security.

Statement of the Problem

The present study aims to Design and perpetration of Computerized Library Management System for the University Department Library and integrated that with University Central Library. The title is “ Design and perpetration of Computerized Library Management System in Anambra state council of husbandry, Mgbakwu ”.

Purpose of the Study

1. To develop an streamlined database of Books and other coffers of the academy of College Library, Anambra state council of husbandry, Mgbakwu.

2. To apply automated system using ComputerizedLibrary Management Integrated Open Source

Software.

3. To carry out the charging and discharging functions of the rotation section more

effectively.

4. To give colorful hunt options to know the vacuity of books in the Library.

To induce the list of books due by a particular member and also the overdue charges.

Significance of the Study

1. It helps to modernize database of Books and other coffers of the academy of College Library, Anambra state council of husbandry, Mgbakwu.

2. It helps to carry out the charging and discharging functions of the rotation section more effectively.

3. It helps to give colorful hunt options to know the vacuity of books in the Library.

It helps to induce the list of books due by a particular member and also the overdue charges.

It helps to keep the track of issues and submission of books.
