This design which is medicine procurement and distribution shadowing system provides a computer grounded information operation system in a Pharmacy Department of the University of Nigerian Teaching Hospital( UNTH) Enugu by designing a cost effective, stoner friendly operation, incorporating crucial attributes of data integrity and system security suitable for use in the drugstore department of the sanitarium using Microsoft Access software in developing the database and visual introductory as the

programming language. The overall end of this design is to optimize time and material in the processing of data demanded for effective operation of large drugstore department of a sanitarium. By this approach, data integrity, data redundancy, and thickness will be assured.

medicines are the chemical substances that are administered to cases for restorative purposes and prophylaxis. It can also be known as a drug, because it’s the essential part of peoples watch.

The capability of the computer to store and recoup information at a veritably fast and effective rate makes its operation useful in operation operations. medicine operation involves medicine procurement, medicine distribution, medicine shadowing and its information operation. medicine distribution is concerned with distribution of medicines within the different medical units or departments in a sanitarium, while medicine procurement is concerned with the purchasing conditioning of the medicines by the drugstore department of the sanitarium. In view of all these problems, it becomes necessary to develop a computer grounded medicine information operation system and distribution shadowing system. This is what this exploration design is set to address by computerizing the routine processes in our hospitals and in particular that of Pharmacy Department of UNTH Enugu.

Objects Of The Study

The end of this exploration design is to design and apply a motorized medicine information operation system, medicine procurement and distribution shadowing system. This includes

ii). To take good stock of medicines.

iii). To help apothecary of expired medicines

iv). To insure accurate keeping of records of medicines

i) It’ll give dependable healthcare services.

ii) It’ll guarantee sanitarium operation and cases of genuine and safe medicines.

iii) It’ll insure an effective and standard medicine apothecary system.

iv) It’ll give a data base for stock taking of medicines carried and allocated any moment.

This exploration work will cover only the Pharmaceutical Department of the University of Nigerian Teaching Hospital( UNTH) Enugu. It’ll present an up to date and comprehensive design of the following

i) Planning and control system which includes force control and medicine distribution

ii) medicine procurement procedure in a sanitarium.

iii) The expiry status of each medicines at any point in time

iv) The Database of all kinds, types and names of some medicines that would be store and operate on.

Limitations Of The Study

1. Time constraint; There’s limited time go and meet the sanitarium druggist for proper information.

2. Due to the sensitive nature of organizational information, there was disinclination to release vital information which may peril the security of the association.
