The weal and development of any nation depends largely on the quality of the family unit. still, numerous family in Nigeria are decreasingly chancing it delicate to achieve a well planned united home indeed the government less focused on this issue despite the National Child Welfare Policy in Nigeria which is deeply settled concern for the overall well- being of the child, from a conviction which is forcefully embedded in the colorful dressed of our people, that the weal of the child is bound up inextricably with that of his parents, his family and association group to which he belongs and the wider community in which he lives and grows. It also flows from the consummation that the weal and capacity of the nation hereafter depend veritably much on the development gests and overall life quality of children moment. This is believed that the faith of the Nigeria government and people in abecedarian mortal rights and in the quality and worth of the mortal bring as well as by the internationally accepted principles are that humanity owes the child the stylish it has to give. Broken homes have eating deep in our society.

There’s no acceptable lawn root crusade on the effect of broken homes in the life of a child in- malignancy of the programs and programmes on child weal. Broken homo has long been a major cause of social disequilibrium in our society( Nigeria). This includes child neglect; child abuse as similar early maltreatment on children has a negative effect. In some case children with histories of maltreatment similar as physical and cerebral neglect, physical abuse and sexual abuse are at threat of developing severe psychiatric problems. These children are likely to develop reactive attachment complaint( RAD), similar children also may describe as passing traumatic attachment problem. These trauma experience is the result of abuse or neglect inflected on them by primary care giver, which( not their parents) disrupts the normal development of secure attachment( which can only be set up or given by their parents). similar children also at threat of developing a disorganized attachment. Disorganized attachment is associated with a number of experimental problems including dissociative symptoms as well as depressive anxiety and amusement- eschewal symptoms. Children who have endured similar early chromic trauma frequently developed complex posttraumatic stress diseases which will in- turn to social problems. Broken home is culturally regarded as a separation of partner. But there are also some consorts who are together yet the home is broken as a result of misreading and disagreement between the hubby and the woman .
