INTRODUCTION

 

1:1 The Study’s Background

 

Drugs are regularly utilized by people of all ages, young and old. Drugs are not only beneficial to humans, but they are also beneficial to animals’ health. When humans discover that their animals are unhealthy, they administer drugs to them. A drug is a substance that can be used to cure sickness and improve the health of any living thing. True, drugs are employed for beneficial medicinal purposes and as effective substances for excellent health, but they are abused by people, particularly youngsters. They use it illegally and criminally, and as a result, it is damaging to the body. The consequence of drug usage among Nigerian youngsters has been deemed morally deplorable. Drug addiction has roughened the faces of Nigerian youths and brought shame to our country. Nigerian teenagers are consuming narcotics illegally, unlawfully, and on purpose (Vanguard, 2015).

 

Many of our kids, whether unknowingly or knowingly, rely on one or more drugs for their everyday activities. According to World Health Organization (WHO) data, drugs such as alcohol and tobacco

 

  1. have caused more road accidents and taken more lives than any other disease that mankind has faced. As international drug trafficking grows in power, international cooperation against drug trafficking weakens and becomes disorganized.
