Background Of The Study
Republic in its true meaning is synonymous with grassroots republic. Grassroots republic is a people community – driven participation in choices, governance and decision timber. Grassroots republic can be seen as a tendency towards designing political processes where as important decision making authority as practical is shifted to the smallest position of association. therefore, a original government is a government at the grassroots position of administration meant for meeting peculiar grassroots need of the people( Agagu, 1997). Appadorai( 1975) also defined the original government system as government by the popularly tagged bodies charged with executive and administrative duties in matters concerning the occupants of a particular quarter or place. Original government was further defined by Lawal( 2000) as that league of government closest to the people,” which is vested with certain powers to exercise control over the affairs of people in its sphere”. Original government is a system of public administration at a original position, charged with the responsibility of bringing the people at the grassroots near to the government. The original government authorities in Nigeria operate in an atmosphere in which for reasons of high position of ignorance, general despondency, and political disenchantment, their conditioning are ever remote from media scrutiny and the vigilant eyes ofnon-governmental associations( Jega 2011). The situation is further worsened by the constitution of the civil democracy of Nigeria which places the original government authorities under the crippling and tyrannous influence of the state governments that are only willing to concede limited autonomy to this league of government. therefore, the Nigerian Original Government system which is the third league of government has no interactive links with the community for which it was designed and created. This has made so numerous people to wonder if there’s grassroots republic in Nigeria. Though the government is located at the original position, it’s run by elites who are alienated from the culture of the people( Akinola 2006). therefore the original government and the communities that ought to be mates in progress have been operating at resemblant lines. This has redounded in the poor performance of the original government over the times in grassroots development. There have been several reforms over the times by the Federal Government of Nigeria aimed at stimulating tone government and to encourage action and leadership eventuality at the grassroots position. The Civil government hopes that these reforms will further elevate the principle of participatory republic and political responsibility among all Nigerians, especially at the grassroots position( Usman 2010). The stopgap of the Civil government for rapid-fire youth development at the grassroots have come a mirage as consecutive original government councils have grossly under- perform in nearly all areas of their accreditation including youth development. Corruption is at the rooftop as politicians and government officers display their ill- gotten wealth in obvious substance.
Statement Of The Problem
This study is examining the relationship between grassroots republic and youth development in Original government administration. Youth development according to UN( 1971) is the qualitative changes which are brought about within the youth populations. Youth development deals with details of the process of perfecting the livelihood conditions of youths in such a way as to ground the gap between youth from rich background and bones from poorer background. Diejemaoh( 1973) defined youth development as a process of not only adding the position of per capita income of youths, but also the enhancement in the quality of life of the youths measured by education, food and nutritive position, health, recreation and security. This study will examine how original government administration has used the instrument of grassroots republic in the process of youth development.
Objects Of The Study
The following are the objects of this study 1. To examine the position of grassroots politics being rehearsed by original government administration. 2. To find out if grassroots republic has restated to youth development in original government administration. 3. To determine the system by which grassroots republic and youth development can be rooted in original government administration.

1. What’s the position of grassroots politics being rehearsed by original government administration?
2. Has grassroots republic restated to youth development in original government administration?
3. What are the styles by which grassroots republic and youth development can be rooted in original government administration?
Significance Of The Study
The following are the significance of this study 1. The results from this study will educate the original government leaders and the general public on the benefits of grassroots republic and youth development in original government administration. 2. This exploration will be a donation to the body of literature in the area of the effect of personality particularity on pupil’s academic performance, thereby constituting the empirical literature for unborn exploration in the subject area.
Compass/ Limitations Of The Study
This study will cover the grassroots republic and youth development being rehearsed by Oredo Original government administration.
Limitation Of The Study
fiscal constraint-inadequate fund tends to stymie the effectiveness of the experimenter in sourcing for the applicable accoutrements , literature or information and in the process of data collection( internet, questionnaire and interview).
Time constraint- The experimenter will contemporaneously engage in this study with other academic work. This accordingly will cut down on the time devoted for the exploration work
