Preface

Background Of Study

Small and medium scale enterprises has been a focal point of the colorful governments of the world, because SMEs have flexible configurations and immensely contributed to nation structure independently( Aderemi etal. 2019). Generally, the World Bank classified SMEs as businesses with outside of 300 workers. Meanwhile, in Nigeria s environment, small and medium scale enterprises are conceptualized as business realities that have lower than 50 workers. principally, these enterprises retain investment in ministry and outfit that’s lower or equal to six hundred thousand naira and singly possessed and operated with a view to generating job openings and meeting deals standard( CBN, 2018). National Bureau of Statistics( NBS) estimated figures of SMEs in Nigeria to be41.4 million. The unique nature of SMEs lies in the application of raw accoutrements from original sources, creation of employment, provocation for pastoral development, entrepreneurship development, rallying of original savings and platform for tone- employment.

still, ruinous goods of COVID- 19 epidemic on both mortal and material coffers in early 2020 can not be forgotten in a hurry. The Wuhan- COVID- 19 surfaced in 2019 in China like the way Ebola did in West Africa in 2014. But, COVID- 19 redounded into global epidemic which spread across the globe without inhibition( WHO, 2020). This new contagion sparked off colorful restrictions to movement of people, goods and services. The check of manufactories businesses alongside reduction in product of good and services wasn’t left out due to the stay- indoors orders always resounded its effect to conditioning of SMEs encyclopedically still after the lockdown with not all the SME’s functioning, the fire was how to insure the rate of Covid- 19 spread is drastically reduced. This is only attainable when SME possessors and patronizers misbehave to the quested safety guidelines. substantiation from Worldometre 2020 indicate that asymptomatic infection and transmission of COVID- 19 is possible. Asymptomatic infection occurs when an existent is infected but gests no symptoms, while asymptomatic transmission occurs when an infected existent without symptoms transmits the contagion to another person.

These attestations indicate that in countries like Nigeria, where the capacity to conduct mass testing is lacking and contact dogging isn’t veritably effective, asymptomatic andpre-symptomatic cases act as silent spreaders and this underlines the significance of social distancing, regular hand washing and good hygiene, and mask wearing to be rehearsed primarily among the general public especially possessors and patronizers of SMEs.

During the course of the study challenges encountered were simply but not demarcated to the following multitudinous. These are

shy finance the exploration was face with problem of shy fund which hamper the experimenter from shuttering to Access Banks within Lagos more so in printing and collation of questionnaires

Time time factor disguise another constraint since having to manage in this exploration which went contemporaneously within the time schedule of other academic work making it insolvable to take over this study in large further representative skill
