Abstract
The exploration has been designed to identify the problem and prospect of rubber husbandry in Edo State Ovia South West Local Government Area. This is done so as to suggest possible ways of exposing to the public the profitable condition of rubber product problems and prospects.
The applicable literature to this work is thus carried out largely under the following headlines.

Preface
Plantation husbandry is further than 400 times old and contributes to the indigenous and public countries. Agriculture is the civilization of soil growing of crops and parenting of creatures for man use. Agriculture has always been the major exertion in Nigeria in general and also Edo State particularly producing a variety of food and cash crops. Agriculture is divided or distributed into three; they’re subsistence husbandry, marketable husbandry and colony husbandry.
The subsistence husbandry is practices with only crude tools, a many crops that are the civilization. Then, the planter grows crops for himself and his immediate family. This is done by clearing a small portion or area of land and cultivate it. The marketable husbandry is when food crops are grown for the purpose of making profit. The marketable husbandry is the combination of pastoralist husbandry and beast husbandry; the people in this area produce for import request that’s on marketable base. Plantation husbandry practice in Nigeria and in Edo State in particular colony husbandry is the growing of cash crops on a large hectare of land o a large scales. In colony husbandry crops like cocoa rubber oil painting win and shrub like cotton and coffee are grown.
Rubber is grown in Edo State and in the western countries of the Nigeria. Large amounts are grown in small area like Iguorhiaki, Ehor, Irrua in Esan central Original Government Area and Ologbo in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area. Rubber( Heuea Brasiliensis) is began from south America, belongs to the family of euphorbiaceous. It grows well on utmost soils that are well drained with periodic downfall of 2700- 5000 mm and the tree grows from 45 cm at a height of 150 cm from the ground. The seeds are planted at a distance of 30 cm to 30 cm and latterly weakened to 30x60cm or 60x60cm depending on competition for nutrient. It has a smooth light slate box; the palmate leaves of rubber tree are alternate, each with three circulars. The flower are monoecious and the three flower in the dry seasons, when the leaves are shadowed the fruits have three seeds.
Harvesting is done when it has attained the age of 6- 7 times when also tree are considered progressed and have attained a circumference circumference of 45 cm at a height of 150 cm from the ground. To open the colony for tapping, the following accoutrements are needed.
Temperature for original marking, collecting mugs, mug hangers, spouts, tapping cutter, and Sharping gravestone.
Rubber finds a wide diapason of uses in nearly every aspect of mortal bid. It’s substantially used in motorcars tyres and other accessories, manufacturing of pillows balloons, gloves, charge wears, batts etc and also plastic assiduity in the product of papers, product of both hand wares among other effects.

The major factors hindering agrarian development in Nigeria and in Edo State specifically are as follows

3. To draw a conclusion and recommendations grounded on fining for perfecting extension practices.
4. To dissect the crop, processing and deals styles of rubber in area.
5. And also to find result to the linked problem stated.

There are numerous colony crops grown in Nigeria. In this study, an attempt will be made to ascertain the problems and prospect of rubber product. The area of interest is Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State.
Significance Of The Study
The significance of this study is that at the end of exploration work
1. People will be suitable to know those problems that are associated with rubber product and also how to handle similar problem when they arise.
2. It’ll help the rubber directors to ameliorate their system of husbandry.
3. It’ll also bring to the people mindfulness about the new variety of rubber.
4. At the end of this exploration work the growers will be suitable to know the new challenges arising from rubber product and also how to acclimatize to similar challenges.
5. It’ll also bring to the people mindfulness about the significance and donation of rubber product in the frugality of the state.
Methodology
This exploration work is organized as follows chapter one is made up of the preface while chapter two is the review of affiliated or applicable literature on the subject matter. Chapter three is the system used, that’s the methodology of the exploration work while chapter four is the donation and analysis of the data hypothecated. Chapter five is the summary of findings, conclusion and recommendations.
