The Impact Of Conditions Of Service On Employees’ Performance In Selected Small And Medium Scale Enterprises

Project Summary

The Effect of Conditions of Service on Employee Performance in Selected Small and Medium Scale Enterprises was investigated in this study. Three hundred and two respondents were sampled for the study using a survey research design, and only 250 of the 300 questionnaires that were given were actually recovered. Tables and a straightforward percentage technique were used to show and analyze the data. Using chi-square analysis and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Analysis, respectively, hypothese were tested. The findings showed that working circumstances have a big impact on how well people perform in small and medium businesses. Furthermore, it was discovered that employees’ performance in small and medium-sized businesses is greatly impacted by the terms of their employment. Additionally, it was discovered that working conditions had a big impact on happiness at work. The study came to the conclusion that motivation affects how well workers perform. This indicates that motivation has a significant impact on an employee’s performance. The study suggested, among other things, that small- and medium-sized business managers try to achieve good outcomes rather than negative ones. The management of small and medium-sized businesses in Calabar Municipality should make an effort to occasionally improve service conditions by promoting opposing viewpoints and rewarding employees for exceptional work.
