Background Of The Study

 

The discovery of the computer has to a lesser extent revolutionized most profession and their work performance. Croakers, accountants, Engineers, Bankers, masterminds, Flight regulators can not work without the help of the computer. Recent studies have shown that computer can be of great help in the diagnosing of several eye blights like short and long sightedness. Artificial Intelligence rudiments like Artificial Neural Networks, Fuzzy sense, Expert Systems, inheritable Algorithms, tend to emulate the mortal brain when it comes to detecting blights in the mortal body. The ways used in this paper are Support Vector Machines( SVMs) and Artificial Neural Networks( ANNs) to diagnose sight affiliated problems for the people who have problems in their vision. Artificial intelligence in Medicine( AIM) field surfaced in the early 1970’s in response to several contemporaneous

requirements, openings and interests. An increased demand for high quality medical services coupled with the explosive growth of medical knowledge has led to the operation of computer program that could be used to help croakers and other

eye health care providers in discharging their clinical places in opinion, remedy and prognostic( Javitt, 2003),.

 

lately, Support Vector Machines have been used in a range of problems including bioinformatics( Yu, et all 2003) textbook categorization( Sebled et all 2000), bracket and pattern recognition. The support vector machine is a system for dividing a point space using an optimized hyperactive aeroplane , whereas Artificial Neural networks have been successfully applied to problems in pattern bracket, pattern matching, function approximation, optimization and associative Memories( Luger,G.F., 2004). In Artificial Neural Networks the nonlinearity of transfer function gives the network capability to emulate nonlinear mapping parcels. In this exploration a feedback net medium has been used.

 

Statement Of The Problem

 

Although humans are wise enough to learn about the body, its blights and how to apply results to them, our knowledge is greatly limited. delicacy and speed of humans are always low. There are always miscalculations especially when it comes to delicate corridor of the body like the eyes.

Beforehand discovery and result to it has also been a burden to humans due to limited knowledge and how slow we are. Some cases who haven’t shown any symptoms of diplopia and diplopia but have it are told to go home and relax due to we have n’t seen any physical given symptoms, hence worsening the situation.

 

Ideal Of The Study

 

The main ideal of this study is to design a motorized system for the opinion of diplopia and diplopia and to proffer necessary treatment. Specific objects include

 

To design and make an intelligent system in drug to ameliorate the effectiveness of the current system of eye disfigurement opinion.

 

ii. To develop an expert tool which incorporates decision support system characteristics to prop eye specialist in early discovery of diplopia and diplopia.

 

iii. A specifically designed database, with the purpose of storing croaker and patient details, vacuity information of drugstore and blood bank, individual center services, croaker appointment schedule, individual center services schedule, ER services alongside access situations for the intended specific stoner types of the system as the main aspects.

 

Compass Of The Study

 

In order to achieve the objects stated above, the compass of the study is limited to the following

 

i. The study involves conducting exploration and assaying the current system of operation in Obinwanne eye clinic Nkpor and to suggest a motorized system of detecting and working diplopia and diplopia.

 

ii. The system involves creating a knowledge base which incorporates all the given symptoms of the eye disfigurement in order to be suitable to descry and proffer result as early as possible.

 

iii. The system is designed using Java which gives it the capability to run on any operating system.

 

By determining the compass of the study, the posterior processes in developing the proposed system as the result to the exploration problem would be easier and has clearer defined boundary, which in turn act as a guideline in developing the system.

 

Defense Of The Study

 

Provision of healthcare services, particularly when it comes to eyes is a largely neglected area in Nigeria. Any meaningful enhancement made in this field will thus be salutary for all medical interpreters involved. Generally, people trying to admit services will be suitable to witness the advantages handed by a system that’s effective, effective, easy to use and affordable. In order to minimize suffering of the affected people and introduce effectiveness in the system that will give lesser mileage, this design work was commenced.

 

Limitation Of The Study

 

The following are some factors, which acted as an indictment or constraints to the progress of the design work;

 

Lack of proved accoutrements It was delicate to start the design originally because reference accoutrements at my disposal are limited.

 

Financial constraint is another factors that limited the experimenter in retaining out this design effectively.

 

Disinclination by the repliers in giving information stewing that the information sought would be used to blackjack them or publish a negative image about them.

 

To fight this, I carried a airman study to establish the possible cause ofnon-compliance in filling the questionnaires and acclimated the questionnaire consequently.
