Abstract

This exploration concentrated on design and enforcing a system that will break the challenges faced by INEC commission, in terms of effective executive operation and design perpetration among others. It started with the prosecution of a thorough disquisition and analysis of the homemade system and eventually to the design and perpetration of the new system. The release of this new system will break the failings of the being system by reducing time, stress and coffers spent while using the homemade system.

Management Information System( MIS) is a system or a process that provides the information necessary to manage an association effectively. MIS and the information it generates are generally considered essential factors of prudent and reasonable business/ organizational opinions. MIS should have a easily defined frame work of guidelines, polices or practices, norms and procedures for the association or institution Michael,T.G( 2009).

An information system( IS) is any combination of information technology and people’s conditioning using that technology to support operations, operation, and decision- timber. In a veritably broad sense, the term information system is constantly used to relate to the commerce between people, algorithmic processes, data and technology. In this sense, the term is used to relate not only to the information and communication technology( ICT) an association uses, but also to the way in which people interact with this technology in support of business processes.

Alter( 2002) argues that an information system is a special type of work system. A work system is a system in which humans and/ or machines perform work using coffers( including ICT) to produce specific products and/ or services for guests. An information system is a work system whose conditioning are devoted to processing( capturing, transmitting, storing, reacquiring, manipulating and displaying) information.

Throughout the 1970s this was largely limited to lines, train conservation, and the life cycle operation of paper- grounded lines, other media and records. With the proliferation of information technology starting in the 1970s, the job of information operation took on a new light, and also began to include the field of data conservation( Neo et al, 2003).
