It should still noted that burning on agrarian lands in Okada in Ovia North East Local Government Area attention was concentrated on the merit and dereliction of burning agrarian land in chapter five. At the after part of this chapter, useful suggestions and recommendations were given on how to accomplish burning by trying to avoid bad goods on burning agrarian lands in Okada in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State. still these suggestions and recommendations are substantially on the part of the governments which are as follows

 

The government should help in prohibition of backcountry burning careless use of fire by enlightening the growers and the public.

The government is to insure that there are fires services in the pastoral area are well equipped with accoutrements to fight against the outbreak of fire especially in the timber reserves.

The government should give for some retailed outfit to the original growers to hire for use at a cheap rate in order to minimize the act of burning agrarian lands by original growers.

The government should also give toxin to replenish lost nutrients during burning.

Background To The Study

 

Burning with reference to land civilization is a system of land medication in Edo State. In general and in Okada in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State in particular backcountry burning generally is the system of removing the natural vegetable from the face of the soil by setting fire on debris. Bush burning causes serious damage to trees and crops, its effect of public concern which shouldn’t be for planter alone and should be handled with soberness, practice of burning of fire could also lead to accidental burning of his land and other parcels at his disposal, this ideals of burning his ranch came to him with the food that fire has left before after riding his food, fire spread and destroyed all that was left before in the terrain.

 

Burning the cropland for the civilization of crops has a remarkable effect on the soil fertility. During burning process some nutrients that are largely demanded by the shops are lost out in form of feasts similar nutrient include phosphorous, nitrogen and sulphur. The ash which is the principle products of burnt material although rich in phosphorous, nitrogen and potassium can be fluently washed down by rain. The heat produced during burning creates an unfavourable condition for conditioning of the soil organism similar as earthworms, bacteria etc.

2. Does backcountry burning reduce the effect of weed or a measure to control weed?

 

3. Is burning to fight against pest?

 

4. Do you consider backcountry burning as the cheapest system of land medication?
