Background Of The Study

 

All mortal relations are form of communication. In world business moment, nothing can be achieved without good communication with employers, workers, guests, suppliers, and indeed guests. Looking at the most successful business people in the world, one will see people who have learned the art of communication. Business each over the world moment is veritably grueling . To stay profitable in the largely grueling and competitive global request frugality all factors at product( i.e. men, machine and accoutrements ), should be wisely managed. Among the factors of product, mortal resource constitutes the biggest challenge because unlike inputs, hand operation demands skilful running of studies, passions and feelings to secure loftiest productivity.

 

Communication has pivotal impacts or among work groups in that organizational communication is a channel to pass information and programs. Organizational communication can be astronomically defined as communication with one another in the environment of an association. This type of communication, in turn, includes conditioning of transferring and entering communication through colorful layers of authority, using colorful communication systems, and agitating colorful motifs of interest to the group we belong to or the company we work for. Organizational communication exploration has substantially been conducted both in the business operation field and in the communication field; still, experimenters in the public administration field have handed little knowledge about organizational communication and its places and goods.

 

Communication applied to all phases of operation process. It’s the process of transferring information from sender to receiver, who interprets the information in order to achieve organizational objects. Information, according to Miller,( 2002, Roll, 2004) is simply the vehicle by which we essay to provoke or elicit a mortal response. Information on its own is relatively stationary and breathless. It simply exists staying to be interpreted and have meaning attached by people. In the view of Nabeth et al( 2002) information needs interpretation by people knowledge workers in an association. Knowledge could be associated to objects that can be linked, separated from their original environment and handled in information system. Information system operation is largely under a new marker Information Technology( Wilson, 2002).

 

It’s a public secret that no two people can ever have the same perception about an event. What bone will conclude from a particular script is veritably different from what others can conclude. This is why indeed in examinations, scholars respond else though the same schoolteacher tutored them. This is a major communication hedge in the plant. What the operation can convey or try to put across to their workers will be grounded on their perception and how they understand it. What the hand can conclude from the communication might be different from what was intended. This will beget misconstructions and if a conflict of views were to arise, this could lower the situations of productivity in the plant. The style and effectiveness of communication will impact the way workers communicate. For illustration, the extent to which they explain detail, how they interact with others when they talk and so on. All this will determine the position of communication in the plant and the lower the effectiveness, the lower the productivity in the work place.

 

nonetheless, what’s important about communication is that the receiver must understand the communication that has been transferred across by asking certain questions; it may be possible to find out if the receiver has actually understood the communication. This makes communication to be a two way process in a sense that it prevents the development of psychologically negative station among the labor force in an association. thus, a feedback medium must be included into a communication process. There’s need to avoid an inordinate quantum of one way communication.( Uwakwe, 2004). It’s important to say that communication has been characterized as the fort of any association. Without communication, associations don’t achieve its asked pretensions. The purpose of communication in an association is to prompt change to impact action towards the weal of the enterprise.

 

Statement Of The Problem

 

 

 

numerous associations in Nigeria have been faced with an array of problems that feel to be an manacle to the growth of any association similar as, mismanagement of finances and coffers, low position of real income, and poor infrastructural installations to mention but a many. In the view of Okoye( 2004), psychologically transmission goes beyond event of information but understanding and feedback. According to Chudi Oji( 2013). In malignancy of the places of effective communication in perfecting organizational performances, it’s a pity that some faculties pay lip service to the conservation of effective communication systems. Change is a gradational and nonstop process, giving room for inputs and adaptations. The new inventions,e-classroom, ICT mindfulness and appraisal styles are good in itself but the medium and position of communication is problematic. It’s in this environment that this study examined the effect of communication walls on the productivity and performance of workers.

The following are some of the questions which this study intends to answer

 

i) what are the ways by which communication walls affect the productivity and performance of workers?

 

ii) what’s the relationship between communication walls and the productivity and performance of workers?

 

iii) what can be done to insure better communication among workers in any organisation?

 

Objects Of The Study

 

 

 

The broad ideal of this study was to examine the effect of communication walls on the productivity and performance of workers. The specific ideal included

 

i) to ascertain the ways by which communication walls affect the productivity and performance of workers

 

ii) to identify the relationship between communication walls and the productivity and performance of workers

 

iii) to survey what can be done to insure better communication among workers in any association.

 

Exploration Thesis

 

The exploration suppositions to be tested include

 

i) there’s a significant relationship between communication walls and workers ’ productivity

 

ii) communication ways enhance staff performance in an organisation

 

iii) there’s a significant correlation between communication gap and executive procedure in an association.

 

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

 

This study delved the the effect of communication walls on the productivity and performance of workers and thus would profit directors and board of directors of associations in the course of perfecting their knowledge will find this study useful in that they won’t want to fall into the same unfortunate situation before enforcing the result proffered by this study. It’ll add to academic knowledge in the area of operation lores.

 

Compass Of The Study

 

This study covered workers of different organisations both private and public associations. still, this study went a little farther to bandy communication in some details.

 

Limitation Of The Study

 

 

 

The stations of some workers in different associations visited incompletely affected this design and its quality. The issue of not on seat, come back hereafter and the likes, contributed to the detention of this design. Also, the issue of finance contributed to the detention of this design too.
