The Effect Of Motivation On The Productivity Of Workers

 

Abstract

 

The ideal of this study was to determine the impact of provocation on workers productivity of staff of tertiary institution with particular reference to both the academic staff andnon-academic staff of the tertiary institution in Ijebu- Ode Metropolis, South Western in Nigeria. Fifty( 50) staffs were surveyed using descriptive questionnaire. The questionnaire contained twenty exploration questions covering the indicators of provocation considered in this. All the questionnaires were distributed accidentally, and 49( forty- nine) out of fifty( 50) questionnaire were completed and returned giving a 98percent return rate. The 49( forty- nine) completed questionnaire were anatomized using a simple chance for the demographic data of the repliers and‘t ’- test to test the thesis.

 

To ameliorate on performance and productivity of the staffs, operation should motivate them by paying good payment, ameliorate their working condition/ terrain, accord them proper recognition and ameliorate the staff operation relationship.

This tries to explain what motivates people to act the way they do, with primary focus on the work place. It’s the primary task of the director to produce and maintain on terrain in which workers can work efficiently to realize the ideal of the association.

To motivate is to induce, convert, stimulate, indeed impel, an hand to act in a manner which fulfils the objects of an association. The provocation of hand depends on the strength of their motives. Motives are requirements, wants, drives, or impulse within the existent, and these determine mortal geste .

Since it has been established that all geste except involving responses are pretensions directed, director can apply motivational propositions of operation in their attempt to direct the job geste of workers towards the thing of their establishment.

Workers carelessly work in the association due to what motivates them. Some leave their associations due to the fact that they aren’t motivated enough while some earnestly and actually perform their places in the association due to what motivates them similar as creation, perk, leave perk, forums , proliferation in payment, shopse.t.c. which awaken their working spirit.

To know the problem inhibiting the success of the workers provocation in the association.

Moreso, to acquaint the colorful staff and different orders of workers to the need to embraces provocation which will go along way in achieving advanced productivity. either, those scholars in the field of administration will find it instructive, intriguing and grueling in that, the colorful conditioning and ways of provocation are revealed and logically anatomized.
