THE IMPORTANCE OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION TRAINING OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN TEACHING AND LEARNING

Abstract

In the Slovak Republic, a negative attitude toward technical education in primary schools began to emerge around 1990. The government, however, has been aware of Slovakia’s unfavorable technical education development since the turn of the twenty-first century, and in its autumn 2012 policy statement, it stated that “education, science, research and innovation, information and digitization are essential pillars of the knowledge-based society and economy.” Additionally, this claim demonstrated support for enhancing natural sciences and engineering-focused education. One of its primary prerequisites would be innovation in educational programs at all levels of the educational system in keeping with pedagogical best practices and contemporary labor market demands. In order to ensure that students, especially those attending secondary vocational schools, are professionally oriented, it will promote the education that enables the development of job skills in primary school children. When it comes to preparing pupils to attend secondary vocational schools, the value of technical education for children’s entire development is questioned. For students to transition to secondary vocational schools more smoothly, they must successfully complete themes in technology at primary schools (PS).
