Background Of The Study
According to literal accounts( Leadership Newspaper), Asata, Coal
camp, New request, Ogui civic including Obiagu areas of the megacity belongs to Ogui Nike people. But during the social period, the white men started developing corridor of the land possessed by the Ogui Nike people. That explains why Obiagu is presently inhabited by people from nearly the five south east countries videlicet; Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Imo and indeed the present day Enugu state.
Also a portion of Obiagu was also inhabited by the Hausa community, who came to the megacity as either cattle dealers or crafters. But following the events leading to the outbreak of the Nigeria Biafra war in 1967, a good number of Hausa men living in the area left for their different countries in the north and noway returned to the area, also the community was taken over by Nigerians from other ethnical groups, particularly Igbo, yet it still answer.
