Abstract

The factors on which clear prints depend were thoroughly examined. The study found that the dependent variables for clear print were impressed pressure, working temperature, and silver print paper. The ways in which these parameters depend on impressions made on sheets of varying thickness were also investigated. A functional hot (manual) printing machine was designed and built using the findings of these experiments.

1.1 Definition Of The Need

Nigeria has put a lot of focus on widespread literacy and indigenous technologies in recent years. In a widespread literacy campaign, printed materials are essential. The preference for domestic technology places a strict restriction on imported engineering, especially printing equipment. In light of this, it is incredibly challenging to purchase printing equipment from outside of our country.

The creation of local printing equipment is reportedly necessary to decrease the financial burden on the mass literacy campaign. This fact gave rise to the idea and creation of this inexpensive but effective printing device that is fully reliant on regional technology and resources.

This device comes in very handy when printing a variety of materials, including paperbacks, cards, leatherbacks, etc. Its design is anticipated to inspire and advance the creation of new devices using local resources and technology that are intended for similar objectives.

1.2 The Project’s Purpose

Numerous societal issues have been identified as being brought about by modern society’s complexity and civilization.

For the general communication of heartfelt thoughts and messages to friends near and far, the use of textbooks, printed materials like success cards and posters has become essential.

Unfortunately, the prices of these things have skyrocketed due to the nation’s (Nigeria) current economic situation. For example, renderings currently just need libraries to keep their knowledge current.

The need for libraries to be outfitted to handle the demands of their services becomes apparent in this situation.

Libraries are supposed to provide services including card printing, project binding, and printing and binding of student writings like theses and projects in addition to repairing damaged books.

All of these requirements served as the foundation for building this device because these tasks cannot be carried out without a printing device.
