DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A TWO FACTOR AUTHENTICATION LOGIN SYSTEM USING ONE TIME PASSWORD (OTP) WITH SMS
ABSTRACT
The study looked at the design and implementation of a two-factor authentication login system that used OTP and SMS. Many people are concerned about the application of tighter security measures to developed web, desktop, and mobile applications. Faced with the challenges of poor security and user vulnerability, which resulted in applications being hacked by unauthorized people, the researcher set out to create a more secure login application that sends a secret passcode to a user’s registered phone number for identification. The application’s goal is to verify that users are safe and that all logins are permitted. PHP, MYSQL, CSS, BOOTSTRAP, and HTML were used to create the application.
