Role Of Female Journalists On Nigerian Broadcast Media

 

Abstract

 

The exploration examined the “ part of womanish intelligencers on Nigerian broadcast media( A case study of BCOS and NTA Ibadan). Findings have shown that women intelligencers have contributed to the development of journalism, broadcast media in particular and they’re still contributing in so numerous ways despite the fact that their part as mama , religion, culture, gender difference and instability among others are impacting their performance. Women intelligencers contribute in so numerous aspects particularly as anchors of women programmes, family programmes, children programmes, education programmes, fashion and entertainment programmes. Women are also known for their unique benefactions in newscasting and serving as major zealots of the women rights. Survey exploration system was espoused and 120 clones of questionnaires were published and distributed to 120 repliers named, whereas 114 clones of questionnaires were recaptured. Data collected were analysed and interpreted using frequence and chance system with tables. still, women intelligencers are more vulnerable to journalism hazard than their manly counterpart, numerous have been rape especially while covering war or extremity zone, kill, beat, abducted, troublee.t.c. It’s recommended that women should be given especially consideration and entered better treatment from their employers during gestation, over bring of childrene.t. c to enable them manage as mama .
