Abstract

This exploration concentrated on the Design and perpetration of Automated Students School freights Payment using Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua as a case study. It aims at creating a system whereby pupil’s academy freights can be logged into the academy’s bank account electronically. The homemade system of paying academy freights had to do with physical handing over of cash or plutocrat paid by scholars to the academy which was dangerous and prone to fortified banditry. The new system enables cash to be transferred from the bank to the academy bank account which is briskly and safer than doing it manually. With this system, the bursary department/ academy operation is being relieved from some fiscal jaundice and having the total satisfaction to wit. scholars who pay their moneybags also scarce themselves from being spooked by culprits and as similar cover their freights. Data for this exploration were both from primary and secondary sources, which include, books, journals, internet, academy validations and of course the interviews. The programming language employed for this exploration program design was visual introductory( VB) language because it’s easier, to law and lower case sensitive. The exploration was enforced with the installation of the program at the case study for careful observation.

The substance for one going to academy is for better survival hereafter wherein getting what he or she’s able of getting what he or she wants in life. And the desire of knowledge is the natural feeling of humanity and every human being whose mind isn’t bastardized will be willing to give all that’s needed of him or her to get knowledge. It’s on this introductory idea that knowledge acquainted association( academy) has been set up as a ground for people to go by and learn in respond to paying for their acquired – knowledge for hereafter’s success. According to Oxford Dictionary of Current( 6th Edition), figure is defined as an quantum of plutocrat that one pay for professional services. Simply put, academy figure is that fixed interval payment made by a pupil or scholars to the academy he or she attends. Using computer – grounded system for freights payment needed this exploration in order to help break this problems of either delayed figure payment, or the pupil not paying at all or the figure being misused misruled or entangled with felonious attack moreover on the side of pupil at the course of payment or the side of bursary department/ academy operation. Using Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Ikot Ekpene as a case study, the exploration has the intention of creating a software that could reuse scholars academy freights payment to Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic bank accounts and electronically lodging individual scholars freights indicating name, department, enrollment number, position/ class, date of payment, quantum of plutocrat paid, academic session/ semester/ bank’s name, account number, phone number, academy name and other particular records etc. This will enhance prompt payment and safe delivery and automatically stop the operation and scholars from being frustrated financially and else.

Background of the Study

Before, now, people scholars frequently embraced technological changes with the fear of the unknown and as similar decided to accomplish conditioning their usual way( manually). still, the 21st century came with a lot of challenges that only the use of computer can break problem effectively. Electronic/ Automated payment of pupil academy freights in any academy would boost the academy operation morale and thus increase productivity. still, this supports the crush low’s proposition of operation which is of the view that metrication of an association financially will bring increase in productivity. thus, the payment of pupil academy freights in a particular academy enhance the productivity of similar academy for both the operation and scholars as well, indeed as a computer – grounded system is used for similar payment for easiest and fastest mode of operation as well as accurate security and good fiscal operation; which Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic is operating now.

Statement of the Problem

The problems encountered with the homemade system of academy freights payment is viewed from two perspectives, the academy superintendences problems and the scholars problem. The academy operation problems have to do with the processing of scholars information about their paid freights with miscalculations and come out with sum aggregate and grand total quantum of the paid figure from each class, department or across all the scholars who paid as a whole. The pupil problems on the other hand have to do with the embarrassment from the bursary department, similar as wasting of time, mistake made in the damage and felonious threatening and being driven out from the examination hall for not showing substantiation of academy figure damage or indeed after paying shortly before the examination.

Aim and objects of the Study

The end of this study is to determine the relationship between the primer and automated pupil academy freights payment system in Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot OSurua.§ The ideal of this study is to produce on automated- based system for scholars academy figure payment§ To determined the conversion of homemade system of academy freights payment to computerized/ automated system to ease the stress of scholars information processing during payment.

Significance of the Study

This exploration work would help the operation and scholars of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic to have a better knowledge of operating on the system of automated scholars freights payment and how this can be effective through practical aspect of the device. It’s egregious that the homemade system is slow in operation and also ineffective in service. The in- convenience brought about by the homemade system could beover-whelmed by the use of further effective and advanced system. In other words, an automated system minimize time detention procedures during scholars figure payment.

Organization of Research

The exploration study has been arranged in the following order. Chapter one contains the preface, theoretical background, statement of the problems, objects of the study, association of exploration, compass of the study, limitation of the study and description of terms. Chapter two concentrated on the applicable literature review. Chapter three is concerned with the system design with emphasis on design, algorithm and flowchart. It also explains the development of the new automated scholars academy figure payment system in Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua. Chapter four is the system perpetration which gives the direction of the system and analysis of modules. Chapter five centered on summary recommendation and conclusion

Compass of the Study

This study is confined to Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Ikot Ekpene and no other establishment. Data used for the study were gotten from the case study only( Akwapoly). It concentrated on automated pupil’s academy figure payment only.

Limitation of the Study

The problems encountered during the course of carrying out this exploration include

i. Time for the exploration was too short couple with other academic work.

ii. Lack of fund to take care of transportation and other charges.

iii. Lack of access to exploration accoutrements on the content in the polytechnic and public libraries.

iv. The polytechnic’s bank and bursary department weren’t liberal enough to give out information about their conditioning concerning pupil’s academy freights payment.

Description Of Terms
